Dr. Elzanne Singels is a botanist and archaeologist dedicated to exploring the past and future relationships between plants and humans. Her research explores how the Cape Floristic Region ecosystems impacted human evolution. She is a research associate at the Archaeology department of the University of Cape Town and runs her own consultancy, Endemic Cape. Her work is driven by her passion for the ecosystems of the Cape Floristic Region.
